In a context of design process research is an inspiration. First, you should choose the source of inspiration. What really inspires you to do something amazing, what really prompts you to create something outstanding? Nothing can be wrong - you can do whatever you want and this is fantastic! You can be invigorated by music, pictures, nature, epoch or a person you love. Whatever!Then, according to this source of inspiration, you can create a conception, an idea of your collection and a special mood. You can show the way you are, the way you think and feel beauty.

design
Before the drawing sketches, you have a lot to think about the essential parts of the design process like shape, colour, texture, proporttions and silhuette. You have to work over all details before you take a pen. It ia actually an order you have to start working with the collection. So, the design elements are:

 Silhouette
• Proportion and line
• Function
• Details
• Colour
• Fabric
• Print and embellishments
• Historic references
• Contemporary trends
• Market, levels and genres in fashion

development

The design elements are essential and benefitial in " developing your ideas into garment". You have to take into consideration all important details like fabric qualities, shapes,drapes, colours and prints. You have to think about the direction of your collection (according to your inspiration source). You need to think about the mistakes you probably did and correct it. The garment need to be developed but not recreated. You need to have a strong silhuette, lines and colour palatte. This elements will remind you about the initial direction you have chosen.

editing

At this stage you have to edit and check again and again everything you have done before. This porcess of development is really important for the collection success. You need to edit back your designs, balance, proportions, lines, etc. May be you should add one or another piece of cloth (dress, jacket, etc) to complete the image, or create the same jacket or dress in different fabric just to edit the silhuette. So, the final edit is really helpful in creation of final look of your collection.

Presentation

It is a final step in a design process. This is a result, a goal you have achieved. You have to choose a place, lights, music and create your own fashion show - to make a reality of your initial idea.
